Escaperoom Dockum was Dokkum's first traditional escape room, opening on July 1, 2017 in the Business Center on Hendoweg. The single room (60 minutes, max 5 players) revolved around Dokkum's own history: reliving 'an event with an indelible place in history' — in Dokkum, this unmistakably points to the murder of Bonifatius. Builder Wendy van Eijden designed all riddles and puzzles by hand after playing a room with her family in Balk. The local press was warm about the initiative, but the room never reached enthusiast circles: there are virtually no reviews to be found. The venue has since closed permanently; the closure year is not documented anywhere.
