Escape Room Plaza Gorredijk was a small-scale village venue that ran from July 2016 to around 2020; after 'a wonderful period of 4 years' the owners closed the doors, partly due to the distancing requirements from the pandemic era that made the location unworkable. The most famous adventure was The Cave: an abandoned mine from the 1980s where people in white lab coats come and go, and which during the shift change is unguarded for exactly one hour β your chance to find out what is going on down there. Besides that there were the earlier room Het mysterie van de bar and a kids' room about stolen exams in a classroom. The sparse reviews were warm: an 8.0 on escapetalk, praise for the 'super welcome', the variety in puzzles and the dΓ©cor ('you really feel like you're in a cave'), though the lack of online presence after four years is telling in itself.
