'De juwelen van Beppe Afke' has been running since February 2016 in a stilt farmhouse over a hundred years old on the Tjeukemeer near Delfstrahuizen. Beppe Afke farmed here her whole life with grandpa Klaas; on her deathbed she spoke repeatedly of jewels hidden in the farmhouse, and the farmhouse has now been sold to the mysterious Sieberen Storm โ as helpers of the heirs you search the actual rooms for 75 minutes before Storm returns home. Doors are not locked: it is an 'inscape' tour through multiple rooms, with hints via telephone and teams of maximum 7 starting at intervals, up to well over 40 players per day. Opinions vary widely: escape room enthusiasts find it amateurish and 'a scavenger hunt, not an escape room' (4.2 average from 9 reviews), while family groups praise the authenticity of the real farmhouse and the warm welcome with coffee and Friesian oranjekoek.
