S.O.Scape was the very first escape room in Zeewolde and the second in all of Flevoland, first located in a yacht club house at Bolhaven and later above the swimming pool of RCN Zeewolde holiday park. The two rooms were cozy and family-oriented: in the Pancake House you had to catch at least fifteen escaped mice as a cook before the health inspector arrived after exactly 60 minutes, and in Under Water you searched the seafloor for a treasure chest before your oxygen ran out. A nice detail was the decoration: every player received an apron and chef's hat (or diving suit) upon arrival and the difficulty level was adjusted in advance per player. Reviews were mixed — families praised the perfectly dosed hints, experienced players found the puzzles too easy and not very innovative. The business was sold and permanently closed as of January 1, 2018.
