Warrior Events — now rebranded as IR Games and moved from an abandoned shopping center to the former Meppel hospital — creates large-scale, fully actor-driven real-life games instead of classic escape rooms. Flagship The Breakout is considered the Netherlands' biggest real-life zombie experience: for three hours an outbreak escalates around you across thousands of square meters of abandoned property, with dozens of actors, Hollywood-level makeup and an ending players can actually influence. Under the IR Games banner, Code Black now also runs, a crisis simulation where a cyber attack takes hospital systems offline. Reviews are enthusiastic about the actors ('stayed incredibly in character' — ScareZone gave 83%) and the cinematic scale, but with groups over 60, experiences collapse: complaints of too few actors, queues, chaos and a plot line that becomes unintelligible. Puzzle-lovers should know this is adrenaline and theater, not brain work.
