Taribush De Jachthut is not a classic escape room but an 'inverted' outdoor variant on a remote stretch of Drenthe countryside by the Linthorst Homankanaal near Wijster. In the summer Break-in Room you see drinks and a party ready through the window of the hunting lodge, but everything is locked: teams race across the grounds to find clues and crack the door code. In winter, Winter Break-Out runs, a 1920s-themed game where your dig crew must recover a lost iron shovel from the stern commissioner Linthorst Homan, partly outdoors and partly solving puzzles by the wood stove. Visitors praise the originality of the concept, the beautiful remote location and smooth all-inclusive guidance; on an outing aggregator it scores around 79% from 124 votes. Enthusiasts note that it's more of a group activity with puzzles than a true escape room.
