Breakout Now was a small, independent escape room on the Oosterbracht in Emmen that opened in July 2020 — in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic — and quietly closed again; the venue now appears on escapetalk and TripAdvisor as definitively closed. There were two rooms: 'Help Larry Escape', where you as a member of a special team solve a hostage situation and defuse a bomb, and 'De Museum Roof', where you pull off a spectacular heist yourself. The only escapetalk review was notably glowing (9.0 overall, with a 9.5 for puzzles), suggesting this was a hidden gem that simply never found an audience.
